2024 NRCS-RCD Local Work Group Meeting (中文版本在本页下面提供)
The NRCS-RCD Local Work Group (LWG) brings together a diverse group of people with agricultural and natural resource interests to discuss and develop recommendations for local natural resource and conservation priorities and criteria for activities and programs delivered by USDA and the local resource conservation districts. This year’s meeting is co-hosted by the North Santa Clara, Loma Prieta, and San Benito Resource Conservation Districts, in collaboration with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), the Farm Service Agency (FSA), and the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts. This year's meeting will be held on February 27, 2024, in the County of Santa Clara Animal Services Conference Room, 12425 Monterey Road, San Martin, CA 95046.
There will be two sessions: the morning session (10:00 to 11:30 a.m.) will be offered in English , and the afternoon session (1:40 to 3:10 p.m.) will be offered in Chinese . In between the two sessions, we will be providing lunch and a tour of the Morgan Hill Unified School District's FarmTECH site at Sobrato High School (401 Burnett Avenue, Morgan Hill), where they are growing lettuce for their student meals in a vertical hydroponic system installed in converted shipping containers.
Please RSVP by February 26th if you wish to attend the lunch and tour. An RSVP is not required to attend the meeting.
