Strategic Planning

The North Santa Clara RCD's mission is to provide education and technical assistance to constituents and watershed stakeholders to sustainably manage soil, water and wildlife with the best available science.  In furtherance of its mission, the Board of Directors strategically plans its activities on a short- and long-term basis:

  • The purpose of the Long Range Plan is to describe the District, identify its priority natural resource issues, establish long-range district goals, and develop a framework to identify priorities for annual district activities. The Long Range Plan also serves as a method of providing information to government agencies, community-based organizations, watershed stakeholders and individual members of the public regarding District programs and goals.
  • The purpose of the Annual Work Plan is to serve as a planning tool to track activities and inform constituents, partners, public agencies, and other stakeholders as to how the District plans to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals. It is a living document that is updated throughout the fiscal year as the Board proactively, responsively, and adaptively manages programs, projects, activities, and policies in the best interests of the District and its constituents.
